Michigan Community College Association
Working together to expand distributed learning in Michigan
Welcome

The community colleges of Michigan have created the Michigan Community College Virtual Learning Collaborative (VLC) to provide students with expanded opportunities to access online courses and programs of study. While many students find the online format more convenient, the courses themselves are just as rigorous as similar courses taken on campus.

If you'd like to get an idea of what online courses are like, a Sample Course is available. An Orientation to Online Learning may also help you decide if online courses are right for you.

Registration for Spring/Summer 2010 courses are underway. The Fall 2010 offerings will be added soon.

PLEASE NOTE: Since online courses often fill very quickly, we encourage students to take advantage of early registration if possible - waiting often means the most popular courses are filled and closed.

Also, please note that registration periods and semester schedules vary considerably, depending on the provider college - especially for the spring and summer semesters.   Carefully note course dates and registration dates for all the courses you may want to take. (You can find this information by clicking on the course of interest - among the course details will be information about beginning and ending registration dates.)
