VLC Tuition Rates All courses listed in the VLC online course catalog share common tuition rates - see the tuition table below. Scroll down for more information about tuition for VLC courses and how to find out which rates apply for you.
The tuition structure for courses taken through the MCCVLC has been developed to be as straight-forward as possible. Students will only be charged the tuition rates listed in the table above and possibly a course-related fee (such as a lab fee or course materials fee). No other fees (such as registration fees, technology fees, student activity fees, parking fees, etc.) will be assessed in addition to the tuition. Regardless of which college is offering the course, you will be eligible for the In-district tuition rate if you are a resident of any Michigan community college district. If you are a Michigan resident, but do not live within a community college district, you will be charged the Out-of-district tuition rate. All other students will pay the Out-of-state tuition rate. In order to be charged the In-district tuition, you must be able to provide proof of residency according to the policies of the Michigan community college in which you reside. If you do not do so, you will be charged Out-of-district tuition or Out-of-state tuition, as appropriate. The student contact person listed in the "accounting" section of the "help center" above will be able to provide you with more information and assistance. Also note: It is not recommended that you register for a course from your own community college (your home college and the provider college are the same) through the MCCVLC. The tuition structure above only applies to courses students take from Michigan community colleges other than their home college.
