Library Resources
|
|
| Completing college
courses often requires students to review relevant documents and conduct
independent research. While the Internet certainly affords access to
some excellent resources, other are of dubious quality. For decades,
research libraries have assisted scholars in identifying and finding valid
information.

Another valuable resource for online students is the Michigan Electronic Library
(MEL), a free online service providing access to electronic library resources
for the residents of Michigan. This 'virtual library' is designed to be a
comprehensive electronic information tool for the state's libraries, schools and
citizens and contains over 70 commercial databases and 26,000 free Internet
sites in 14 major subject areas. Click on the link to the right to access
MEL.
Knowing that many
courses will require a research paper, Michigan community college
Librarians have prepared online resources to provide assistance.
The link at the right will assist you in doing research in the library
and on the Web.
Listed below are links to the Library home
page of every Michigan community college. You are encouraged to
bookmark any or all of these sites for reference as you complete your
coursework. |
